What We Do

Newport Kiwanis Supports Aquidneck Island

Our Kiwanis club donates funds and supports many local organizations including the following. Fab Golf, Child and Family Services of Newport County, where we donated a new washer and dryer in 2020. We http://fabnewport.orgalso support Lucy’s Hearth, The Martin Luther King Center, The Edward King House and many soup kitchens at local churches.

Aquidneck Island College Scholarship

Our Kiwanis club donates funds for the Gene Perrotti Kiwanis college scholarship every year. It’s a great way to help local students achieve their dreams. In 2020, Newport Kiwanis also awarded gift cards to each graduating senior at Rogers High School.

Circle K ad Key Club Sponsor

Our Kiwanis club supports Circle K and Key Club service projects at Salve Regina University and now also at Rogers High School.

Kiwanis Builders Club Sponsor

Our Kiwanis club supports and encourages kids at Gaudet Middle School in Middletown, RI so they feel empowered to do great things in their community. We support Builders Club service projects, facilitate the Builders Club meetings and provide mentorships. The Gaudet Builders Club has donated supplies to the Ronald McDonald House, collected balls and games for after school programs and donated backpacks to a local homeless shelter. Great job kids!

Kiwanis Terrific Kids Sponsor

We honor student achievement through their deeds and actions at school. We award deserving students with stickers, pencils, a certificate of achievement and a car bumper sticker that reads, “I am the parent of a Terrific Kid!”
